Cover wire floors with solid panels plus a thick layer of paper bedding, hay or towels.
Enlarge floor area to the minimum for the heaviest rabbit, plus 50% for each extra rabbit.
Raise daily free-run time to at least 2-4 hours; a pen around the cage works well.
Never use pine or cedar shavings (phenols damage the liver) - choose paper, aspen or straw.

Wire floors, hard plastic, wet bedding and heavy weight grind the fur off the hocks.
